Description:

The Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Science is designed to educate independent technical thought leaders with a deep understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) from a computational perspective.  This graduate program, offering both hardware and software options is designed to produce senior level scientists and engineers who have deep algorithmic knowledge of AI, can design and develop multiple AI systems, and analyze their performance.

The curriculum includes two introductory 500-level courses that reduce pre-requisite requirements, making the program accessible to mathematically mature individuals with a computing, engineering or STEM background, from various fields.  The program consists of 30 credits that includes a 15-credit core that includes coursework specific to either hardware or software focus.  The program also includes a 6-credit thesis or project experience, 6 credits in AI-specific electives and 3 credits in AI-related engineering electives.
